Our Raison d’Être

Our hands-on Endo CE training program is designed to help you do better endodontics, to reduce the stress of RCT procedures and increase your success. We will help you eliminate any weak links in your endodontic skill set:

Learning Objectives

  1. Diagnosis:  Become more familiar with the 3 T’s of diagnosis: terms, tests, techniques
  2. Case Selection:  Identify pre-op warning signs
  3. Access/Orifice Location:  Improve accuracy
  4. Hand Filing:  Attain and maintain patency, avoid iatrogenic errors
  5. Rotary Instrumentation:  Improve your effectiveness and minimise complications
  6. Irrigation:  Maximise benefits of chemical débridement
  7. Obturation:  To length with fewer voids
  8. Post-RCT Restoration:  Tips on saving the whole tooth
  9. Management:  Help your endo patients help themselves and appreciate the great work you have done on their root canal

Hands-On Endo CE – Program Outline

Each day of our Endo training CE course runs 9am to 5pm and includes breakfast and hot lunch.
On Saturday evening, we will take the group out for dinner, for those interested in joining.

Day One

  • Lectures on
    • Access preparation design
    • Glidepath & Patency
    • Irrigation
    • Rotary Instrumentation
  • Hand Instrumentation hands-on endodontic workshop, Part I & II
  • Rotary Instrumentation hands-on endodontic workshop, Part I

Day Two

  • Lectures on:
    • Diagnostic terms, exams, and tests
    • Endodontic case classification and treatment planning
    • Obturation
    • Pain Management
    • Diagnosis & Case Selection
  • Rotary Instrumentation hands-on endodontic workshop, Part II
  • Obturation hands-on workshop
  • Discussion & review
  • Clinical Case Review & Approval
  • Evening Social dinner

Day Three

  • Live faculty-led surgical demonstration, streamed to our lecture facility with video and accompanying audio narration of the procedure. Get your questions answered live during the procedure
  • Lecture on:
    • Restoring with Posts
  • ** Optional opportunity to work on your own patient, implementing the clinical skills learned over the weekend **
  • Endo from A to Z – A review and reinforcement of the course objectives and a final hands-on practice session on re-treatment
  • Critique, Review, Discussion

For those dentists who are members of the Academy of General Dentistry, British Columbia Endodontic Solutions provides

  1. 12 CE credit hours in endodontic didactic lecture
  2. 12 CE credit hours in endodontic clinical participation
